Pacquiao edges Marquez anew to retain WBO crown

Pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao retained his WBO Welterweight crown after edging Mexican archnemesis Juan Manuel Marquez via Majority Decision Sunday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

One judge had it even, 114-114 while the other two had Pacquiao winning Marquez, 115-113, 116-112.
The first match in 2004 saw Marquez rally from three knockdowns in the first round to forge a controversial draw.

The second meeting, meanwhile, Pacquiao chalked up a narrow split decision in 2008 highlighted by a third-round knockdown of Marquez.
Pacquiao hiked his winning streak to 15. His last loss was to Erik Morales back in 2005.
